Prerequisites: Basic computer skills - familiarity with using a keyboard, mouse, web browser and document editor like Word

The course will provide you with:

• an understanding of the structure of Joomla! - of where things physically lie and how they interconnect
• tips on installation, security and updates
• a guided tour of configuring the backend of Joomla! & some short cuts on setting up your site(including some SEO tips)
• hands on experience in structuring your content - organising, adding and editing content
• practice & advice in regard to inserting images
• learn how to upload and link to files like pdfs
• the low-down on installing addons – how, when and why
• where to get help with joomla
• an ABC on modules - what are they - how to turn them on and off
• all about menus - how it organises your site
• shortcuts for setting up parameters
