Prerequisites: Basic computer skills - familiarity with using a keyboard, mouse, web browser and document editor like Word
The course will provide you with:
- an understanding of the structure of Joomla! - of where things physically lie and how they interconnect
- tips on installation, security and updates
- a guided tour of configuring the backend of Joomla! & some short cuts on setting up your site(including some SEO tips)
- hands on experience in structuring your content - organising, adding and editing content
- practice & advice in regard to inserting images
- learn how to upload and link to files like pdfs
- the low-down on installing addons – how, when and why
- where to get help with joomla
- an ABC on modules - what are they - how to turn them on and off
- all about menus - how it organises your site
- shortcuts for setting up parameters
